BTC partners with FurnMart to bring value addition and convenience to customers
BTC and Furnmart are two giants in their respective sectors and their partnership is set to bring bigger and more exciting products for their customers .The launch was attended by Ms Boitumelo Masoko – who is the General Manager for Consumer sales for BTC. She acknowledged all in attendance and expressed how excited she was to be a part of the partnership. “Now OUR customers can conveniently get data, airtime and sim card replacement from Furnmart stores. It’s a relationship of Giants .SMEGA will soon be offered at HomeCorp and FurnMartl in the near future. Our customers will now have access to more than 50 Branches for FurnMart,” she said.
BTC has over 4500 LTE sites across the country and have good network .Their Bundles are the most affordable and support many features even TIKTOK. The General manager for marketing Ms. Malebogo Mosinyi concurred with Ms. Masoko and also took to the podium to explain offers in the market. She said the companies’ hero products were TurnUp, DSTV video bundle and Live social and they also have mobile modems called Fast Connect which are available on contract but effort is being done so they are offered on prepaid month to month basis. This device can connect up to 30 devices.ProData is cheaper a cheaper alternative to Fast Connect and allows connection of up to 10 devices. VSAT is also available for connection anywhere in Botswana. BTC has over 26 shops and the partnership increases the outreach.
Wikus Smuts the operations Manager for Furnmart was beaming with pride that a partnership that FurnMart management and himself have been chasing for two years is been realised .He explained that when he heard BTC was on a growth path he wanted to partner .Furnmart used to buy P200 000 or more worth of airtime a month from all networks but now they are going to buy from BTC. The partnership according to Smuts will also benefit from the association that it is part of a Holding company Cash Bazaar holdings and their sister companies will tend to support BTC .Companies like Afritec, NafProp, CB stores and that’s 1000s of people who will be supporting the project. BTC and Furnmart have in excess both of over 1000 employees each. . Furnmart Botswana talk’s localization and creating jobs always.
Furnmart was born in 1970s in Bluejacket Street in Francistown and now has 150 outlets including South Africa and Namibia .In his concluding remarks Mr. Smuts said, “This partnership should be set to grow and the employees of BTC must enjoy the benefits from Furnmart and HomeCorp .Homecorp will be offering BTC employees special discounts and other benefits. I am very proud to have finalized this deal and partnership and our local team will support this initiative. Promotion in stores will be held to create a lot of excitement over the campaign. Homecorp has online shopping as well to serve customers from home.
